Kitchen

Start with appliances and grease, then work outward to surfaces and floors.

  • Degrease oven, stovetop, hood, and backsplash
  • Empty and wipe refrigerator, freezer, and dishwasher
  • Clean sink, disposal, counters, cabinets, and drawers
  • Sweep and mop after every other surface is finished

Bathroom

Allow cleaners time to work on buildup before wiping and rinsing.

  • Scrub shower, tub, tile, grout, and glass
  • Clean toilet, sink, mirror, vanity, and fixtures
  • Remove soap scum, mildew, and mineral deposits
  • Wipe vents, cabinets, baseboards, and floors

Bedrooms & living areas

Clean from high surfaces down so the floor is the final step.

  • Dust fans, blinds, shelves, vents, and fixtures
  • Clean windows, tracks, doors, and baseboards
  • Empty and wipe closets and built-in storage
  • Vacuum carpets or sweep and mop hard floors

Final pass

Walk through only after the property is empty and cleaning tools are removed.

  • Remove every bag, supply, and personal item
  • Check corners, cabinet interiors, and appliance interiors
  • Take timestamped photos in good lighting
  • Return keys and keep receipts or cleaning invoices
